The good thing about these apps is that you’re collecting money passively. No more keeping track of your purchases, or snapping pictures of your receipts.

Simply link any card. Link rewards cards, loyalty cards, credit cards, debit cards, amazon, ebay, or your e-mail account. Link as many, or as little as you want. Then, just spend as always and watch your cash come back in the apps.

On the upside it’s easy passive money. The downside, the payout is qurterly.

This app also gets an A score from the BBB. It’s one of my favorites. It’s the easiest, no fuss. Just instant automatic cashback. It’s the ultimate set it and forget it app.

You can get your payout through Paypal or as gift cards. The best part is there are no hoops to jump through.

3. Acorns

This app is slightly different. Instead of giving cashback, your purchases are rounded up to the nearest dollar.

That loose change is then deposited into your acorns account. it’s an easy way to save and invest in the short-term bond market. Plus you can withdraw any amount whenever you want without penalty.

Basically, if you’re too nervous to start investing. This is a low-risk way for beginner investors to get their toes wet with a gentle introduction to the market.

4. Drop

Admittedly, this app is not one of my favorites. However, because it’s so simple to use, it really doesn’t matter. It’s not my main app. I just use it in addition to my other apps to further supplement my passive income.

It’s another link it, and forget it app that does the work for you.

5. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a little different because they give you multiple options to rack up the bucks. However, I only use it passively with my linked cards.

If you want to make the money a little quicker these are the other ways to earn with Swagbucks:

  • Taking surveys
  • Shop and get cashback
  • Sending them your paper or e-receipts
  • Discover deals or sign up for free samples
  • Watch short videos
  • Search with the Swagbucks search engine)
  • Play computer and phone games
